MONUMENTAL STUPIDITY

Martin Luther King, Jr.'s daughter made a speech recently in conjunction with the erection of that "Made in China" statue of her father in DC. In it, she claims that Abe Lincoln signed the Declaration of Independence.

What can you say to such . . . ?

Live well . . .

  1. By the standards of today's (mis)educated people she may be right. After all, most students today don't know which war came first, the American War for Independence or the War of Northern Aggression, and most can't tell you in which century either one was fought. After all, maybe John Adams gave the Gettysburg Address while Lincoln was signing the Declaration.
